FTC/MCC-C2.1

The compact and lightweight MICRO-CYLINDRE 2.1 from FTC is a friction device for rigging rope used in tree care work. It's a rope friction device used in minor felling operations to hold and lower cut branches or logs.

The MICRO-CYLINDRE attaches to the base of the tree to be felled or to any tree able to resist the stress and shock produced during the moving of loads. The 2.1 version now comes with straight fairleads to make setting up and removing ropes easier, so it's a snap to use large diameter ropes (14 mm maximum).

This is the most compact and lightweight friction system in its category. Made entirely of aluminium, the Micro-Cylindre doesn't heat up or burn ropes. The rubber bumpers keep it stable. It is a smart choice to add to existing FTC lowering devices.

The round ring on the top allows for reeving, and two fairleads at the tip of the cylinder keep the rope wraps in place and prevent overlapping. The symmetrical design allows a worker on foot to stand to the right or the left.

This device must be used on a tree (fixing) and with equipment (ropes, carabiners, mechanical adjusters, etc.) having size and resistance properties compatible with the rigging rope loads. Only trained and competent people should use this device after reading and understanding the downloadable instructions and following the manufacturer's and/or seller's recommendations.
