Chopping is often faster than sawing or cutting. The NATA is a cross between a knife and an axe.
It is forged in SKS-51 (JIS) steel, and the special Genki rubber grip absorbs shocks so well, vibrations are hardly transmitted to the hand or arm. The Nata double edge (sharpened on both sides) is for splitting wood.
The NATA is available in 4 lengths: 150 mm, 180 mm, 210 mm, and 240 mm in both single and double edges. The blade must be kept clean to maintain its efficiency. Resin dissolves in olive oil, which is an effective and environmentally friendly way to maintain the blade.
