To protect ropes, BEAL has created a carabiner adapted to sport climbing and repeated falls: the BE ONE.
The ‘receiving zone’ has been enlarged to allow the rope to flatten during a fall without creating lateral friction. The rope runs more freely and absorbs the fall more effectively. The contact surface area has been optimized by using a cylindrical profile with a 12 mm diameter. This is less restrictive for the rope and minimizes wear caused by repeated falls.
